PRESENTATIONS 101

ONE OF THE KEY ELEMENTS TO ANY MEETING IS SPEAKER SUPPORT. MOST SPEAKERS TODAY USE POWERPOINT BUT EACH SITUATION IS DIFFERENT. SOME PRESENTERS PREFER TO DO EVERYTHING THEMSELVES OR SOMETIMES THEY RELY ON PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES TO GET THIS DONE. HERE ARE SOME TIPS THAT YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND WHEN CREATING A SPEAKER SUPPORT PRESENTATION. TIP: IF YOU CANT ABSORB WHAT IS ON A VISUAL IN 3 TO 8 SECONDS, AND UNDERSTAND IT, YOU HAVE TOO MUCH INFORMATION ON THAT VISUAL. TIP: STAND BACK FROM YOUR LAPTOP, ABOUT 8 FT. AND READ YOUR VISUALS. IF YOU CANT SEE THE TYPE CLEARLY, THEN THE BACK ROW OF THE AUDIENCE CANT SEE IT EITHER. TIP: CALL OR E-MAIL US FOR A TEMPLATE YOU CAN USE TO MAKE YOUR NEXT PRESENTATION LOOK ITS BEST. WE HAVE A LARGE STOCK OF TEMPLATES ON FILE AND ARE HAPPY TO SHARE OUR KNOWLEDGE WITH YOU! KEEP IT SIMPLE; DONT CRAM TOO MUCH INFORMATION ON EACH SLIDE.  USE CONTRASTING COLORS, THEY ARE EASIER ON THE EYES AND DONT LOOK BLURRY TO AN AUDIENCE DURING A LONG SERIES OF PRESENTATIONS. DONT USE A PURE WHITE BACKGROUND. WHITE IS GREAT FOR PRINT, BUT WITH TODAY'S POWERFUL PROJECTORS, IT WILL FATIGUE THE EYES AFTER A FEW MINUTES. IN ADDITION, A WHITE BACKGROUND MAY MAKE DARK TEXT APPEAR BLURRY.
